Barbara Saenz is an illustrator and designer from Patagonia, Argentina. Her style is shaped by colorful, romantic imaginary worlds, banquets, 17th century characters and rococo aesthetics which live together with modern approaches of still life, everyday objects and her love for interior design.

Between 2015 and 2022 she carried her own fashion and pajamas brand, VARI: a high quality, slow-fashion initiative where she brought her illustrations to life through a wide range of textile prints and patterns that were the brand's signature style. The brand manufactured its collections between Argentina and Peru and was sold in Argentina and New York.

From 2022 onwards, Barbara started to dedicate herself full time to illustration, collaborating with a variety of companies, brands and individuals, often creating limited edition capsule collabs, exclusive custom designs or works on commission.

Barbara currently lives and works from Buenos Aires for the whole world.
